What did I eat today (as an Indian)?

Welcome again to my blog! I can’t express how happy I am to see you here!! It’s been just a while that I am writing blogs. I don’t have much viewers here; but I love all the viewers I’ve got. Maybe they’re just four or five. The number doesn’t matter to me much. What matters is that they come and read my blog. I appreciate all my viewers. They matter so much!!

Well, we’ll come to our main topic for today.

Ever wondered what do Indians eat daily? Today I’m going to tell you the exact same thing. I am an Indian, living in Maharashtra (that’s a state in India). Perhaps, you might’ve heard that Indians have super delicious food daily. Um, that’s not quite true. We have delicious food once or twice a week. Not daily.

Today, I had ordinary meals. Want to know what I ate today? I am also eager to share the same thing with you. So, grab something comfy, and read on!!

What did I eat for breakfast?

To be honest, it’s too cold around here lately. It’s been raining here since yesterday night. Do you love rainy days? I do- most of the times. Well, as it was super cold today morning, I first had some hot milk. With cocoa. And some sugar. Ahh, my mouth still waters when I think of hot cocoa!! I just love it.

Then, my mother had made some ‘Fodnicha Bhaat’, which in English is Indian ‘Fried Rice’.With ‘Chivda’, that is a crispy spicy snack. Yeah, it was for breakfast today. Actually, some rice had been left from yesterday’s dinner. Mother didn’t waste it, she used it for today’s breakfast.

‘Fodnicha Bhaat’ that is in English, Indian ‘Fried Rice’.

What did I have for lunch?

I usually have my lunch at 1.00 pm, but ’cause of school presently, I have my lunch at 2.00 pm. Today, I had 1/2 Chapati (flat bread made of wheat), Bhendichi Bhaaji (Spicy ladyfinger which is eaten with chapati), Laal Kobichi Bhaaji (Spicy red cabbage also eaten with chapati), Kairicha Loncha ( Raw mango pickle) and ‘Taak’ ( Buttermilk). We drink buttermilk at the very end of our meal. It is known for good digestion.

Indian lunch/dinner.

My most favorite food in today’s lunch was Bhendichi Bhaaji. It tastes so delicious!! Sweet and spicy. In the above picture, a whole Indian plate is shown. And, in the below pictures I have tried to show all the dishes I have mentioned that I ate today.

Bhendichi Bhaaji (spicy lady finger)
Chapati (Indian flat bread)
Kairicha Loncha (Spicy Raw mango pickle)

Guys, I could only find these images, and not a few dishes I’d mentioned above. Sorry for that. I hope you won’t mind :))

What did I have for dinner?

Oh my gosh, I am writing this post right after having my dinner!! I know it’s too early to have dinner. Actually, I had my favorite dish made today. So, I had my dinner early, as I could not wait until 8.00 pm.

Today’s dinner was ‘Onion Uttappa’. It’s a south Indian dish. It’s somewhat like pizza, just a nutritious one 🙂 And below is the picture of how it looks like!

And that’s all for today, friends! I hope you like today’s post.

What do you have for your breakfast, lunch and dinner? Do you like it? Did this post make your mouth water? Should I post more on what I eat?

How to start writing in a diary and make it interesting?

Well, well. I am so glad that you’ve decided to start writing in a diary!! And before you read further, lemme tell you right away that diary writing is super awesome, fun and beneficial.

I started keeping a diary from my 2nd grade. Of course I wasn’t too good at the starting. But, then I gradually became a master at writing in my diary. I still have a diary. I usually write four-five pages in it daily. No, if you’re a beginner, you don’t have to write five pages everyday; it’s absolutely fine if you write one page, or even half. Let’s do it slow, day by day, not to hurry.

So, read on to know how to keep a diary and make it interesting enough.

Pick a notebook/diary

Now this is the basic thing, you know. You’ll need a notebook or a diary to write in. You can choose anything you like. Preferably, I’ll say you should choose a diary itself, a cute one or any other diary you like. Because, if the particular diary is attractive, it’ll make you want to write in it. Or, if the diary you have is not satisfactorily pretty, you can make it pretty yourselves. By decorating it with colorful stuff, or anything you find pretty.

You can also use a notebook, no worries. You can decorate it too with what you may prefer. I use a diary, mostly. But, notebook is also a great option for people who cannot afford diaries. You know what, it’s not about what you write in, but what you write. So, it’s completely up to you what to choose 🙂

Give a name to your diary

And that’s another important thing. Give a cute name to it. Basically, your diary is your friend!! A bosom friend, you know. You can share absolutely anything you have in your mind with your diary. Your top secrets, your thoughts, your opinions, the things you faced during the day, what made you happy today- it can be anything you want to share with your intimate friend.

Now, your diary is your very, very close friend. It will never judge you, nor make you feel bad about anything. It’ll be patient.

I have named my diary ‘Louis’. I share everything with him. You can name your diary ‘Katie’, or anything you like. Or just keep it as simple as ‘friend’.

Start by ‘Dearest’

Diary writing is nothing but letters your write to your intimate friend. So, if you know we start writing a letter using ‘dear’, ‘dearest’ and their name ahead. You have to do the same thing here. What will this do is, it will create a feeling that you’re talking to your best friend.

Here’s an example of how I write: Dearest Louis,

And after writing that, I begin from the line below. There’s no need to skip any lines.

Talk to your diary

That’s what you exactly have to do: Talk to it! And that’s how you make it interesting. You’ve to write everything you have in your mind. For example, your utmost feelings, thoughts, opinions, your new goal, things that took place today, your plan for the future, if you’ve recently read a book what do you think about it etc. It can be anything! Remember, your diary is now your friend, and not just a normal diary. What would you talk to an intimate friend of yours? Talk it all to your diary. You don’t have to be too formal, you don’t need to be too perfect about your grammar, you don’t need your handwriting to be good. Because, the diary is only meant for you, and not somebody else. No one is gonna read it. The conversation is only going to be between you and your diary.

You just have to chat with it! It’s that simple, you see. You probably don’t have to write an essay.

Here’s an example: Dearest Louis,

The only thing everyone is talking these days is that stupid talent show. And it’s really starting to get on my nerves! People are practicing before school, after school and even during lunch. I’ll be so happy when all this is over! I’d been waiting for Mary to ask Lucy and Julie to join her dance squad, so i was not surprised when she approached them about it after gym class today. However, I was shocked when Lucy and Julie turned her down! They actually told her they didn’t want to be in the talent show unless I was in it too. I couldn’t believe my BFFs had basically told Mary to take her little dance group and flush it !

I have seen a few people write their diaries like this: Dear XYZ,

First I woke up in the morning at 8.00 am, then I brushed my teeth and then had my breakfast. After having breakfast, I washed myself, then did my homework. Then I got ready for school and then went to school. I studied in school. When I came back mom had made me donuts. I ate them all. Then I studied for an hour then went to play. Today’s day was good.

You can make out the difference between the two diary entries, right? The second diary entry seems too plain, formal and boring; while the first seems informal and interesting. Because, the first diary entry has been written in a way we talk to friends. That’s what.

Make your diary pretty

Once you’ve written your diary entry, you can stick the related pictures into it. Or even, you can draw related pictures yourself, to make your diary more appealing. You may stick stickers if you like too. But not too many, of course.

While writing you can use color pens and pencils for highlighting words or writing the date. You may stick real flowers in it. You can probably do anything.

Don’t forget to write the date

Write the date before starting the diary entry. This is one of the most important things to not forget. Writing date might seem silly to some of you, but it is probably not. When you grow up, you’ll read the previous diary entries of yours. And when there’ll be a date on the diary entries, you’ll find it fun while reading that you wrote these things at that time! So, just don’t forget to write dates before every diary entry 🙂

End with ‘Yours,’

This isn’t necessary, but you might as well write this when you’re ending your diary entry. For example: Yours,

(Your Name)

This will just give your diary a clear idea that you are the person talking to it 😀

I hope this helps you out in your journey of writing your diary! Before you start off with your first diary entry, lemme tell you this, that it’s okay if you’re not consistent about writing in your diary daily. It’s okay if you just forget to write, or skip to write in your diary. I personally do it. It happens naturally, with everyone.

I am so glad you made a visit here! Do share this with your friends and family who might find this helpful. And, don’t forget to take a look at my other blog posts as well :))

My Absolute (Online) School Morning Routine

Hello guys! I am so glad you’re here! And, I do hope that you had a great and healthy week until today. So, today I’ll be sharing with you my absolute school morning routine. Since you know the beast of Covid 19 is here, and to defend him, we all have to stay indoors. And hence, there’s no real school, but virtual school. And to be frank, I hate the virtual school, you see. I’m terribly, awfully, dreadfully missing my real school. Believe me or not, I spend half of the day looking at my school pictures! I hope our school starts very very soon.

Anyways, today I’m gonna share my morning routine with you guys. So, grab something comfy and read on! Perhaps, you may find a suitable routine idea for yourself!

I don’t set any alarm for the next morning unless I have got something super important the next day. I usually wake up between 7 o’clock and 8 o’clock in the mornings. I wake up naturally to the fresh sunlight and cool atmosphere. (BTW, I simply love rainy mornings. They have something in them to motivate me to do something new) And then before doing anything else, I brush my teeth and wash my face with icy cold water. Icy cold water because it helps me to wake up fully, kind of.

Later, I make my bed and do some simple stretch, just to wake my body up. And then I’ve got something exciting to do. I run on the staircase, at a fast pace, for fifteen minutes. Of course I take small breaks in between to catch up with my breath. I do that because I get really lazy to do any yoga or workouts. Though climbing stairs seems such a good sport to me! It is also extremely good for our overall cardiovascular health. By fifteen minutes of climbing stairs, I become real sweaty and quite breathless. It is really good to climb stairs when you can’t go out in the fresh air to play some outdoor games.

Later at 7.30, I have some steam. Taking steam daily really improves our skin and keeps us from that deadly virus. (Of course I am not any doctor. So, before doing anything, you may prefer to see your doctor first! ) Steam has numerous benefits. It keeps us from cold and cough, improves skin, aids with stiff muscles, relieves headaches and much more it does!

Then I go downstairs to drink a glass or two of fresh water. It’s really awesome to stay hydrated! It’s always better if you have your first glass of water with lemon in it. Lemon detoxifies and refreshes your body. Lemon has a billion benefits of it’s own. And hey folks, me and my family got cured of Covid 19 by having an entire lemon everyday with honey. Trust me! We didn’t take ANY kind of medicines. We only got cured by lemon and honey. Wanna ask more about it? Mail me here: itsprincess.soha@gmail.com

After having water, I write in my diary. It’s super great to write in your diary. Super super GREAT!! Want to know how to write in a diary and also make it interesting? Well, I have already written a blog post for it. Click here to read it!! Writing in a diary has made me a different person, a better person; I have felt it myself. It gives you a somewhat nice feeling to have someone to listen to you, your thoughts and feelings.

Then, I read a book. I am currently reading Anne Of Green Gables. It’s a terrific book. I recommend it to all of you. I can’t keep the book down when I’ve started reading it. Do you like reading books? Oh, then I have another blog post for you, where you can find super wow-some books. (I myself have read them and then made the blog post) Click here to read that blog post!

And then I have my breakfast. At 9 o’clock, I start my school work. Homework and assignments. And then, it’s school time. I always learn the concepts which our teacher is gonna teach us, beforehand. Hey!! Do you want to be a bright student in your school? Oh my gosh. I also have a cool blog post on that topic. And it’s for online schools, as well as real ones! Cool, isn’t it? Click here to become a bright student in your school!! 😀

And here ends my morning routine. I hope you guys find it good 🙂 Any suggestions for my morning routine? How is your morning routine? Comment down below!! Stay tuned.

Is it better to give, or to receive?

Have you fallen in deep thought now? Or, have you not? What do you think of this question? Is giving better, or receiving?

Receiving something brings us a lot of joy! How do you feel when you receive loads of beautifully wrapped gifts on your birthdays? It makes us super happy.

Or, how does it feel when it is your exam, and you have forgotten your pens and pencils at home, and someone helps you out by giving you the supplies you need? It has happened a million times with me.

But, have you thought about this? When someone gives us something, be it a gift or a help, we reward them back, with a help they need, or even a gift. 🙂

A girl is giving a gift to someone. A girl is showing kindness.
Carry out a random act of kindness with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.

Don’t you think that giving something to someone is also receiving? Giving, repays you with two things: 1. Happiness and

2. A help/ reward from the person you gave something.

Isn’t it quite amazing?! So now, what do you think is better? Giving, or receiving? And giving can be anything. You can give people kindness, knowledge, love, a favor, a gift, your time, a compliment and even a smile! It doesn’t just have to be money or an expensive gift. And I bet what you give, will come back to you! Remember, every action has a reaction.

So, don’t be a tight-arse while giving! Because giving always has a rebound effect. You will soon get back what you gave, may be in some other way.

Be kind,

Soha
